Crystal Castles: III (C+)
Synthesized electro goth pop SUPER duo, Crystal Castles', third self titled album releases this Tuesday. Don't fret, you can hear it leaked HERE first.
Being a huge Crystal Castles fan, I expected nothing short of greatness from these two. That being said, initially, I found this album lackluster in comparison to their previous albums, however after a few play throughs I found bliss within the, odd tempoed beats and ambient sounds that Crystal Castles is so famous for. Even though this album is good, and it hurts me to say this, I don't think it lived up to the hype. Being as biased as I am toward this group, I'd still rather play, I and II, while III collects dust in my iTunes app.
