I've been on a search for artists to interview lately. Our last "Artist Interview", with Jessie Caballero was a hit, and we've been lining up more interviews ever since. Today we sat down with an artist that goes by the name Alexander "RhytmOfSleep". He's a friend of a friend and an amazing artist, so I was excited that he accepted our request to interview him. Enjoy!
-How long have you been doing art, and or creative things that can be considered art? Anything you would recommend to those aspiring artists out there?
-Since i can remember. i remember drawing Sonic all the time in 2nd grade, that was my shit, so its been a long time.
I encourage anyone that wants to do anything artistic/creative to just do it, its all trial and error, also practice just do what you want. Everything comes in due time.

-What's your favorite medium to use?
-I'm a fan of ballpoint pens. I tend to use them over pencils because I have more confidence in my lines with them. But right now I'd say watercolors and pens, nothing inherently fancy.
-What has been your biggest achievement, having to do with your art?
-Having my art tattooed on family/friends. I haven't had much luck with shows or selling my stuff but i'm fine with that. I do this for the love. I just want to be successful.
-Who are some artists that influence you?
-What is your favorite piece of iconic art or favorite artist? Why?
-How would you explain your art to your viewers?
-Where do you see yourself in the future? What are some of your goals?
- running a company not working for anyone. Doing what I love, creating. I'm starting a little thing now and i'm hoping it flourishes soon. I want to travel, see the world, and see my art there as well.
